Then why did you post? Adding such unecessary comments in your requests can have only negative effect.

u can dock windows into dialogs with ktools as far as i know?? i think there is a few other dlls out there that does something similar too

If you meant Khaled wont read your post, you're wrong.

If you meant he wont add what you want, only he knows if/when he would.

Regardless, your comment was rude and uncalled for.

How can someone who only registered his nick today and has posted 2 messages on these boards really have enough background to tell what Khaled does and does not read?

good point ... just one of the reasons certina ppl shouldnt be allowed to interact with others

I've been registered here before.

qwerty: I was looking for comments from others.
Posted By: emil Re: Dialog control - 28/03/03 07:02 PM
D3m0n: I know that, but it'd be a neat feature that mirc should already include =)

ParaBrat: It's strange then, he never replies, at doesn't seem to react to anything, even the bug section. I'm sorry if I have offended you or any of the mIRC-team members, but that's just the way it is. I have yet to see any suggestions posted here (eventhough their really good), been added to mIRC, so I hardly see the point.

If you can disprove me, please do.

Considering that there hasn't been a new version of mIRC since the forums were brought back up after the fire it's hardly surprising that none of the suggestions/bugs you see here have been implemented.

Well while we're at it, why not implement all the widely-used controls from MDX? Trackbar, ProgressBar, ListView, TreeView, those are all realyl nice additions to a dialog. And hey, let's not stop here! Khaled should also consider the features from kTools which allows one to dock a dialog pretty much anywhere. There's more! Why not add transparency with the DLL of the same name? Or even better, alter dialog shapes like DEMID.dll?

As you can see, there can be a lot of ameliorations to miRC, but as long as we have them from exterior sources (such as DLLs) why would it have to be implemented in miRC?
Posted By: ParaBrat Re: Dialog control - 29/03/03 05:43 PM
Has he made a lot of replies on the current boards? nope, but he HAS replied. One example: here

Surely you cant think that every suggestion made here can/will be implemented, or be put in the very next version? You want examples of those that have, multiserver, IRCX events, changes in perform pop to mind.

Just because Khaled doesnt reply to each and every post, (or even tons of them) doesnt mean he doesnt read them or give them (and the literally thousands of emails he gets daily )consideration. One of the reasons for having a feature suggestion area is so that ppl can post their suggestions and others can comment, which then gives ideas for the future. Course, thats not counting feature requests made for things that are ALREADY in mIRC, but ppl didnt bother to look, or bugs that are in fact NOT bugs (again, because ppl didnt read). That he and Tjerk created this forum should be an idication that input is wanted, and i can assure you that input matters. If you think he doesnt "react" take a look at versions.txt for any release.

When you post here, Qwerty and anyone else has the right to express their thoughts on your post as long as its done with basic courtesy. You cant dictate who will or wont reply, nor can you expect that only those who may agree with you will reply.
