..(RSE = Remote Script Editor)..

Could it be possible to add wildcards to the find text feature in RSE?
Sometimes when editing codes I have to figure out where certain commands are being executed, but there are sometimes switches after the commands, etc. So it makes it a tad longer trying to find the correct command.

Another greater example is when editing a @picture window. I can't enter the @window's name without having to go thru all the matches of where the window comes up, maybe I'd like to just edit the drawtext commands?
(e.g. In the find text, have "drawtext * @window", or maybe find specific commands when trying to eliminate the bugs when editing?

Basically when I'm asking is could we see the use of wildcards (*) in the find-text dialog in the RSE? =]

Good idea, but there would also have to be regex matching and replacement added to.

Can I throw out the option of reverse finding text or is that a bad idea?

No its a very good idea!, its complexe to search from the end backwards for something, would be nice to have some type of function for it.

I've used a program called PowerGREP wich i use all the time to find stuff like you mentioned.
I'm sure it wouldnt be too hard to simply use mIRC's inbuilt regex identifiers to create a script that will search through text in a file or directory and tell you the line number.
In the meantime im sticking with my trusty powergrep, (also great for searching using wildcard / regex through mirc logfiles for what day 5 years ago you and a friend were talking about peanuts and penny's)
