An option should be added with which you can switch off the little handle in the switchbar for dragging it around. I never move my switchbar, it's always at the bottom, and therefore I don't need that ugly bunch of useless pixels...

Great idea! Strip away the useless.. [It is a nice phiosophy to live your whole life by!]

"Lock toolbars" would be a great option for the view menu.
