I suggest to add the isexept and isinvite in the next version.. like the isban..

Thanks.

Signed.
I'd also like the definition of isban in the help file to be corrected. According to the help for isban you don't need to supply a channel.

agreed

... and I also suggest Invite and Exept events as well..

I agree, I think these modes are now supported more
than not, so they should be added. Good suggestion.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is exept ?
Posted By: hixxy Re: isexept and isinvite - 26/01/06 03:11 AM
Excepts are exceptions to channel bans. Consider this:

Code:
//mode # +b *!*@* | mode # +e RusselB!*@*

You can now join even though I banned everyone.

+I adds people to an invite list so they can join invite only channels without getting invited.

Thanks hixxy. I wouldn't have had to ask if they'd used except, rather than exept. Note the missing C in the second word.

Signed with the first 2 suggestions, however events has already been suggested. Didn't mean to spoil your roll dude! grin

So you knew what Excepts are but it was that missing "c" that totally threw you off?

'morning,

some people write it as exept, others as except, others as exempt..

Some write color, others write colour, but since the words are so similar most people understand both smile

Color vs Colour is a difference in dialect. "colour" is the British spelling of "color". (More examples here)

The difference between "except" and "exept" is that except is spelled correctly, and exept is not. Exempt is a completely different word.

That was a bad example, but I've seen many people think colour is a typo for color. That does apply here.

It didn't totally throw me off, but knowing how precise mIRC is in regards to spelling of commands, etc., I figured it smarter to ask, just in case they meant something that I wasn't familiar with.

Sorry, but to be more accurate, "color" is the American spelling of "colour".
