Not really sure if this has been mentioned, or if this already exists, but i was wondering if an isaway feature could be put into the pile of is functions. Meaning it works the same as isowner, isop, ishop, isreg and what not, but just for the user being away. Right now i am using a hash table to hold the data, but it's not that great.

Such things have been suggested before, however, mIRC cannot detect if a user is away without /whoising everyone continuously, or constantly /whoing channels you're in (and given the vast majority of IRC users which use mIRC, this is unacceptable for both the client and server).

On the off chance that you're just trying to detect if YOU are set /away, there is $away.

yea i understand that, detection when you join is pretty hard, but from the raw 821/822, you could do something of a sort. But yea, i guess your right. thanks anyways.

Raw 821/822 are not in the IRC rfc so they're probably an ircd specific feature.
