Hi,

found this script the other day
http://www.mirc.net/projects.php?go=1120426722&get_desc=1

basically it creates a split window for a channel..
in one window is the normal channel text and in the other are things like joins and splits and nick changes etc

nice idea.. doesn't work so great with scripting however.
would be great to add this sort of thing to mirc

i dont see any good use of this...
if join, quit, msg, amsg and such bothers you then script it that you dont see those actions...

You can adjust where those show up, channel, status or hidden, through mIRC Options - IRC <Events button>

Yes you can hide the events or choose to show them in the status window, but the suggestion was not to hide them, rather the suggestion was to display them in separate but linked window (hence the term split window)

It would be handy to see the events for a channel, without mixed into the chat window.. Showing them in the status window doesn't really work when you work with many channels.

I do like the idea, and wouldn't mind seeing it implemented if Khaled has time smile

This has been talked about lots of times, here is one such discussion, and something i whacked up, that might be of interest, it inserts into a channel window a constantly updating background image, that contains the JOIN OP DEOP VOICE & DEVOICE and anything else you cared to add to it, might do the trick for what you want, (it is not scrollable as its just the background of course)
