Ok this has been an issue of mine for awhle, im just now tryin to change it. In any other version past 5.71 there was a change to how you manually change a channel topic. In the 5.71 you get a BOX to see the whole topic and move around accordingly to change it. However, in any newer version, there is a dropdown BAR seeing previous topic(useless for me), and if you want to change something in the topic, say in the middle...you have to arrow around for a halfhour to get there and then its just a pain and annoying. I was wondering if there could be an OPTION of which kind you want...even having the default being what it is now with newer versions, but like myself if you want it to go back to the old way, have an option for it.

Its sad, but to this day im still using 5.71 BECAUSE, and pretty much only because of this reason.

I totally agree, it gets very annoying to change the topic. The mouse is useless because it is very hard to say move over 35 chars, and using the cursors is just a pain. I know I've never used the dropdown to restore old topics, does anyone? If not, reverting to the old way would be a great improvement.

I just made my own topic switcher dialog which updates a preview window as you type/edit a topic. One big box indeed hehehe

Yes Khaled makes the occasional appearance...kinda like Elvis in Memphis LOL or anywhere else...I'm also pretty sure he's checking on what some of us users may be cooking up for ideas or fixes and making note on what to put toward the next version. So yes I think we can safely say that "The Man" frequents whenever he can.
