Improve /writeini so that it will write files that are over 64kb in size.. (the -n switch doesn't work for me)

I could create a custom alias to do this, but my God, why is it capped? I don't see why.

If -n doesn't work for you, this post should go to Bug Reports
Works for me - 6.03, XP sp1.

apparently, you don't know a whole lot about ini files in general =\

not saying that all ini files are like this anymore, but... the restriction isn't a "cap" -- it's a restriction in most all ini files, simply because the way they are read.

this is very similar to the "64k cap" you would run in to while coding a QBasic program. why it's at 64k, i have no clue.

if you can write something that would make it go over 64k, i think we would all benifit from it wink

If I recall correctly, 64K is one "page" of memory. In the olden-DOS days, conventional memory was the first 10 pages of memory, 0 through 9 and high memory started at the A page. This is most likely why ini files "used to be" limited to 64K, though I must admit, I can't imagine why that limitation would still exist.
