Is there any way to get date time now and store it to variable ?

What i want to do is to get time each half of an hour

So on first half it should store one date time to %time variable. Second time after another half it should store to %time1 variable and so on.

$ctime

But if you're sampling this every half hour, can't you just calculate it? What good does storage do?

Cause it is on twitch channel, i wanna track viewer count every half an hour so at the end i could check on what time were most people and stuff

Nvm i think i got it, i will just use $date $time every half of hour and write it to a file i guess
