Would it be possible for mirc to read the host like someone is hosting you for 9999 viewers

Would anyone mind explaining what a host is and what reading a host means? Provide an example too or the other apps that provide this?
I use twitch too, granted not as regularly as most of you, but I've never heard of the term "read host".

It's a Twitch command (I think from mIRC it's msg # /host streamname). It makes it so that the other person's stream is now displayed on your Twitch page (but still with your chat room).

It seems that jtv (or whatever it's called) sends a message to the chan when someone hosts you: "X is hosting you for Y viewers". When he says, "read host," I think he means do *something* with that message, but I dunno what ;p

I see.

I imagine the testing procedure would look like this:
A has 5 viewers on his site, API confirmed
B has 5 viewers on his site, API confirmed
B uses .host A
jtv privmsgs B, confirming host
jtv privmsgs A, informing of host
A's API gets updated to 5 + 5 viewers.
