I am trying to find some identifiers for a channel topic and channel modes on join.. but i cant find either. what I need is to check to topic against a variable and set the topic to the var if is != and the same with the modes. A little bit of channel managment for a server that wount let me register my channel to get services to set these automatically.
Errr... $chan(#).topic and $chan(#).mode?
Did you even check thehelp file? :P
/help $chan
/help $chan
Specifically: $chan(#channel).topic and $chan(#channel).mode
i wasnt looking for properties i was looking for identifiers.. thats my mistake
$chan is the identifier
.topic or .mode is the property
You have to use the property with the identifier to get what you're wanting, as is the case with a fair number of identifiers that have properties.
I suppose it's possible for Khaled to have made a different identifier for each property, rather than a single identifier with a property extension (for lack of a better term), but as he didn't, I'm going to suspect that there's a good reason.
Just as a note, $topic exists
Just as a note, $topic exists
really ... because i get this.
* No such identifier: $topic
no /help $topic either.
In fact it has existed before, I thought I had already used it some version ago but indeed, it has been removed in v4.7, sorry about that
well any way thanks for all the help
