is there a way to stop people scanning through msn chat to get ur IP thats if your using a script!!

You keep posting on these forums about msn chat - this is a mIRC help forum, and as far as I'm aware the two aren't (or aren't supposed to be) connected.

yes dont connect to msn chat .........

i only use mIRC to connect to msn chat

then your breaking thier rules ........ and i wont help u break a networks rules

ok.. so whatt about the sysops, admins etc who work for msn? they use mIRC heh

they can do whatever they want to ...... u still wont get help on this here ..... no one would help someone backdoor a network like msn ..... cause whos to say someone wouldnt help other users backdoor the network they chat on ...... consider urself lucky to connect using it and leave it at that

rah.... stress head lol, i think we should chat about all scripting terms no matter what.... so how comes u cant use mIRC on msn chat then?

please see other posts about this subject as its been covered many many times ... but the long and short of it is this ...... (as far as i know this moment anyways) MSN has blocked use of mirc thru its servers ..... it was done so about a year or so ago (as im told) one of the moderators here had at one time el\mailed msn and asked if this was true ... they infact said yes it was true ...... so when ur using a special script to connect to MSn with u are breaking thiere TOS and AUP ..... now with that said ....... unless it has changed in the last week or so ..... then MSn does infact block mirc from thier servers ... or atleast they try ... i can not in good concience knwlingly help someone breaking another networks rules ..... im sorry if u dont share this view

yea i no msn blocked scripts... but there r always round things

ok well find ur own way around this one then cause u wont get help here for that
