does anyone know a way of making a send keys alias to like have a dialog with a button it that can do alt + r or other key combinations, without a dll?

thanks in advance.

Search this forum for sendkeys, expand range to all forums and all posts and you'll find this question is answered already, by Online iirc.

Strange, i tried that one, and 3 others, on a blank mIRC and all of them shut mIRC down

What parameters are you using with /sendkey.

with qwerty's snippet, /sendkey % $+ r
even just /sendkey closes mIRC, without any parameters

Well i'm on XP, SP2 + mIRC v6.16 and it works fine.

Also, since the script uses Windows built in WScript.Shell its not an error with the coding, run a virus scan see what that brings up.
