How do I add a user to the access list?

What "ACCESS" list are you talking about?

If you mean the AOP/AVOICE/PROTECT/IGNORE lists that you can view using alt+b - then you should checkout /help Control for the synaxs' and parameters avaliable..

In addition there is also /auser and /guser

If you dont mean this access list, then please clarify.

In the script editor click on the users tab.
You can add the host several ways..most easy would be just their nickname.

100:Nickname*!*

100 would be Nickname's access level.
