i know there is a unset interval for /set
like /set -u20 %vblah blah

just wondering if there was something like that for /writeini

somethign like /writeini -u blah.ini blah blah blah

its not that ive tried it smirk just wondering if there is "something" like it

/writeini doesnt set a varable
varables are temporary (normaly) .. however mIRC is only language i know of that alows some varables to be stored indefinatly.

but when you write somethign to an ini file its made to be at least slightly more perminit ... things that dont change rapidly ..

writeing to, and reading from a file take time

you could achive what you want by useing /temini .. on a timer if need be .. but if your wanting to remove values shortly after writeing them automaticly, maybe you should look into alternitive database methods ... perhaps hash files ?

/help /hmake

hadd alows you to use -u

thanks for the rply but had already deiced to go with hash,
prolly see more of hash qestions on here since im just learning about it, cause for some reson all of comcast.net is akicked from #mIRC on webnet (your "help" channel)
Thanks again for the reply

And just because comcast is akicked suddenly makes the channel not a helpchannel anymore? Funny reasoning...
