Hi

I have been using Mirc for about 9 years and apart from a few minor problems have had no real problems up un til 30/8

Somehow my pc crashed and i was unable to access anything unless in safemode with networking but Mirc did not work.

My pc is now fixed but i am still unable to access Mirc. The program just does not want to open get the timer then nothing happens. I down loaded the latest version and over writed my existing program but the problem is still the same.

Can anyone help me please

It's probably your Anti-Virus that's blocking it. Check for a setting to exempt mIRC.

If by "my pc is now fixed" you don't mean that you did a complete reformat and reinstall of Windows then the answer is quite obvious: your computer is (still) seriously messed up.

"My computer crashed and could only boot into safe mode and now mIRC doesn't work" should be a really good indicator of what the problem is.

every other program is working all ok even those that are connected to the internet. All i need to find out is why mirc will not open

If nothing happens when you try to run mIRC by double-clicking on the mIRC icon then the reason could be that your mIRC files were damaged when your computer crashed. However you indicated that you installed a new version of mIRC over your current files, so that is unlikely to be the cause.

It may be that Windows itself is blocking mIRC and preventing it from running, however it's far more likely (and the following is almost always the reason) that you are using anti-virus or firewall software that is doing this. Please see my previous reply regarding a similar issue.
