Do you want to connect to DALnet or Newnet? I'm confused. Try looking here for stuff relating to Newnet.

Just so you know, you can click on the word "edit" and edit your post within a couple hours of making the post so you dont need to make a new one to add something 
To connect to a server, close the Connect window that opens when you open mIRC, and in the main window, type /server theserver.info.here like for a DALnet server you could type /server mesra.kl.my.dal.net
You can find a list of servers for NewNet network on their web page An example for a connecting to a NewNet server would be typing /server irc.eskimo.com
irc.newnet.net would be /server irc.newnet.net and is NewNets "random". it didnt seem to want to work for me, so i would try one of the servers listed on their website.
