I'm trying to connect to the quakenet.org but i'm sitting behind a proxy firewall and i've tried anything but without any success ... hope you can help me with this situation ??

Try one of these, if they don't resolve use the ip address.

irc.quakenet.eu.org (217.75.98.140)

That doesn't work I just cant connect through irc
