i've just upgraded my connection to wireless DSL and since that time i've been unable to connect to DALnet because of Identd. I tried checking out http://kline.dal.net/exploits/ident.h but then it's already expired. i have no one to turn to and would like to resume my chatting activities. i've got a mcafee 2k6 firewall but other chat programs like YM and Skype are working fine; only mirc was affected by my switch to DSL

Go to portforward.com and look up your dsl "modem". You need to forward port 113 for ident.
