Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)

That's all I'm getting when I try to connect to irc.gamesurge.net

I also am not behind any firewall or router.

I have been told by gamesurge that it happens every now and then and that it evens out after a few minutes

However I'm on retry #73 right now and it isn't happening.

If you've tried the suggestions made in other posts regarding this problem in other topics, then try disconnecting, leaving it for an hour or two, then try reconnecting again.

Check what other online software is running. Sometimes another program will conflict and cause problems with connecting. Try other servers/networks as well.
