my ip changed and now everytime i connect to irc it tells me my hostmask is not valid so i cant auth, i did the cookie thing where they are supposed to send me and email but its been 3 days and they havent done it yet...does it normally take this long or are they just not going to email me?

Not all of IRC is the same.

This isn't the head office of irc or anything, the best place for you to get help for connecting to your network is the sites(e-mail, website etc?) related to the network you are using.

They would probably be more helpful than people who post here.
