As I start playing an online game, and say like 30 minutes into the game as im using mirc to download x. I lose the connection to what im downloading. It tries to reconnect but im unable to reconnect. In the past i was able to play online games and download with no problem. can anyone help me. thanks

This has been asked before and depends on lots of things.

1. How graphicaly intense is your game? 3D games spank the processor and video memory pretty hard.
2. How good is your connection to the internet? I'll say now that if you have dialup or even a slow cable/ADSL/satellite plan then the connection will not survive while doing both things.
3. How much memory does your machine have? I suggest 512MB as a minimum if you are a 'power user'.

The online game I play is Black Hawk Down. I do have internet cable. My computers specs are 2.53 and 512 mb rdram. If anyone has any suggestion, please do reply. Thanks
