mIRC Homepage
It keeps giving me a error that says mirc has encountred an error and asks me if i want to report it microsoft
its the newest version of mirc
did it say where the error was? did you download from www.mirc.com/get.html ? Wouldnt hurt to download a fresh copy, and be sure that during the install you have all other applications (including virus scanner) closed.
i got a fresh copy and disabled the virus scanner and fire wall and it said mirc needs to close it has encountred a problem and then it asks me if i want to send a report to microsoft

I use Windows XP Home and I've never ran into problems installing it...
same.
I just formatted my pc, and slowly putting software back on (Of course mirc was the first grin), and I had no trouble. I have all patches and fixes, and wondering if you have the same. Make sure all the fixes are applied to your computer, and you have restarted.

The system update icon should be on the start menu, don't wait for the popup to update. Not all patches pass through the update manager anyways.
even though i got rid of blaster a day after i got it, windows update still won't work, not even if i try the site manually.
you have any alternatives for getting the new patches etc?
I know someone that is having the same trouble with Win 2000.

Solution is install Windows then install AV software then all service packs from a magazine CD then go online to authenticate and then grab all other security/driver updates. Then install mIRC or your favourite script.
happyburger123 i think is ur windows problem try to format..!!

Try http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.asp. You can find links to security bulletins for all current MS products, from where you should find download links for the patches.
