That i something onl;y the network admin can help you with, hence the advise to check on their website. Keep in mind that you may not be the offender, but someone with a close ip to yours is causing you and others to pay the rpice for his actions.

try to fill in a new name in mIRC options (when not connected)

Great idea, help him evade the ban! That way he can get a wider ban put on him to affect more people.

eerm... this is not mend as avoiding a ban

it just that maybe his nickname contains an illegal character or so-ever

when a OP sets a ban on some-one, it should be done by the adress, so then you isn't avoiding anything

my thought that the topic-starter wasn't banned for his bad behavior or some.... if so then i wan't to say to the topic-starter: "you can't, just be a good boy(girl) to not get banned"

That implies you are attempting to impersonate an enki-services bot, IRCop, or admin. Possibly you are using a nickname or hostmask that is reserved. Try changing both.

An email to the server's admin containing the full login information (from the server) usually will get your answers.
