I'm the founder of a certain IRC channel, but I don't know much about commands and stuff.

now some (S/A)OPs have protected mode, but I don't want that, I want only the founder to be 'unkickable'.
How do I set it globally so they can't have protection?

I tried /chanserv protect #tacc off snice in the command list at this site it seemed like that would do the trick, but it doesn't... It requires a username.

That depends on the services. You can try:
msg chanserv sop #channel del nick
msg chanserv aop #channel add nick
^That works on most servers I've been on.

No other way except for deSOPing them?

It really depends on server/services software.. You can go to your network's help channel and ask there.

I always thought that function was only available where the access levels were numbers (EG: 100 or 150 or 200, etc) not AOP/SOP.

bah, it's all the same -- just some have fancy names for them instead. for some reason they think it's user-friendliness, i think it's just proprietary.

3 = vop (+v)
4 = hop (+h)
5 = aop (+o)
10 = sop (+a)
999 = founder (+q)

thats pretty much how it goes, wether you are on a network which implements the levels as aop/sop then they are going to directly correlate with this. the same goes for networks that only use access numbers.
