well i axidently installed the irc u have to pay for, and i dont want to pay for it. so i uninstalled, and downloaded the free version. Now everytime i try to start irc, it gives me an XP error and wont let me se it for the life of me. please help me, i have no clue on wut to do.

1: its called 'mIRC'.
2: there is no official free version,only cracks.
3: if you downloaded a crack it most probably has a trojan.

without knowing what error msg you are getting ( or for that matter what exactly you downloaded), its almost impossible to help you.

mIRC is shareware, and has a 30 day evaluation period and is easily uninstalled. As phoenix suggested, if you didnt get whatever you downloaded from an official www.mirc.com download site then you may have gotten a trojan. Try doing a couple good virus scans to see whats found. Theres a good free online one at http://housecall.trendmicro.com
