I am using trillian right now to get onto DALNet. I just want to make a room for me and my buddies all over to chat in.

Thats what happens. Also if I try to join a room, it tells me I can't until I register.

trillian has what to do with mirc?

Trillian allows you to connect to AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, and Yahoo! I used to use it just to chat while my FServ ran, but that was over a year ago, I went through 2 hard drive crashes, and have no more info on it.

Trillian is a Virus program, it also have a built in small firewall.. but that wouldent get you in any trubble like that.. try change your nick to somthing else.. and i belive that you need to register your nickname to nickserv or what it is on the network you trying to connect too.. type: /motd .. then read what it says in status window "when you have connected"

and for dalnet you have to register your nickname.. and the channels you want to have cant be owned by somone else, but all should be explained in the motd, so if you can connect, then try to join a channel that already exist, like #sweden "only channel i know about on dalnet" havent been there for 4 or 5 years now
