Is this a bug, or was it meant to be like this?

I have a primary nick setup in options as well as a secondary nick listed.

Whenever I change my nick on 1 of the 3 networks I'm on, it changes the secondary nick in the settings.

Whenever I try to change the secondary nick in options once this happens, it forces a nick change on that specific server I am on.

Do you know how annoying this is?

Try using /tnick, it will let you switch nicks without altering your options/settings.
