When I'm in mIRC, hitting alt-tab and selecting another application no longer brings up that application's window in place of mIRC's. mIRC stays on the screen and I have to switch focus to that another applications in other way. I don't know why this is happening or how to fix it.

I'm on Windows 7 and my mIRC version is 7.46.

The most common reason for this is that you have the "On Top" setting enabled. If you open the "View" menu in the menubar, make sure the "On Top" item is unchecked and that should resolve the issue.
