i am new to this every time i go to a channel i get no such nick /channel what does it mean . do i need to resg my nick if so how and where . please help thank .

If you're going to be a regular user on a network that has nick registration, I highly recommend that you do register your nick.
Not all networks have nick registration, and even the one's that do vary. For specific details on registering your nick, you should join the local help channel, usually #help and ask there for assistance in registering your nick.
