When I was using older versions of mIRC, I would hear beeps when entering text into the text field once my lines neared the maximum allowed length for the server. But since updating to the 7.x versions, I no longer hear the beep. I have sounds enabled, but I near no beeps when entering messages I know should be too long. I'm afraid my messages might be truncated and I don't want that to happen. What should I do?

Thanks,

In mIRC options (alt+o) go to: IRC > Messages

There now an option there to automatically split long messages.
Great feature! Question about it: I have one @window where every message must begin with /wallops -- with this feature, is each line preceded by that automatically? I have that in the remote than creates @wallops so it appears at least for the first line.
That works. I had it enabled, which does split long messages, but also disables the beeping. Disabling it enabled beeping.

Thanks,
