I cannot get watch topics to work in here

I don't know where else to post this, so going to do it here.

I keep checking the ADD THIS TOPIC TO MY WATCHED TOPICS box, but nothing get added to my watched topics list and I get no notifications.

What's up with up with that?

so far 29 people have read my OP. It would be helpful even if people would respond with, works or doesn't work for me.

If you go to My Stuff > My Watch List, do you expect to immediately see it there? Because you do have to click on the Watched Topics section.
If I add a topic it shows up there.

OK, now I feel stupid, again... the list is in there.

BUT I do NOT get email notifications of post in that list (I just double checked that I have that preference selected). I did get an email notification the one time I got a PM.

In the Watched Topics section, if you click the "Edit Watched Topics" link, is the radio button for emailing selected?

all but 1 were NOT selected, so I selected.

BUT!
I have it as a GLOBAL selection in my preferences, so not sure why.
By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?

BTW, appreciate your help on this

I just made a new thread and checked the add to watched topics list and went in and checked in the my stuff as described above and it did NOT have the notification selected in spite of my global setting.

Anyone else having this problem or for that matter not having it?
