Hi everyone. I would like to get mIRC to stop announcing every time someone enters and leaves the room. It makes keeping up with conversations hard to read.
Is there a setting to stop displaying every person who enters and exits?

Go to Tools > Options > Irc > Events Button. There, you will be able to set Joins & Parts to either show in Channel, Status or Hide them completely.

Have a look at Options > IRC > Events.
Note that scripts may override these settings (throw their own lines for events). If that's the case, the script - hopefully - has it's own settings.
