I've been using mIRC for a while now and I have never come accross this problem before.
Basically, the status window is treat as a seperate application to mIRC (it has a seperate tab on the taskbar).

Whenever I click the status tab, it selects it on the taskbar, and mIRC isn't the active application anymore.

I think it is possibly because I have cliked on something, but I am not entirely sure.

right click on the status windows top bar and untick desktop
