There is a topic about this but i didn't find a answer there.

What does "invalid argument" mean?
I get this message the last few days.
I can't connect to any server at all.
I checked my firewall and have not added any addons.
I have been using this script for years.
Also a new fresh folder with only mirc.exe will not let me connect and gives me the Unable to connect to server (Invalid argument) error.
I hope someone can help me out.

Greeting
When you say "any server", do you mean any server from your network, or any server on any network?

Have you added new software to your computer? Did your antivirus/antispyware/firewall do an automatic update that messed everything up? Do you have this same problem if you connect from another computer, or another user on your computer?

Post the results of this command:

//echo -a $md5($mircexe,2) $script(0) $dll(0) $com(0)

I have this on all server on any network.
I have this problem whit all users on my computer.
I don't have another computer.
I use bullguard as a virusprogram/firewall.
Windows firewall is off because it said it may not work well having 2 firewalls on.
I installed some games but nothing that shouldn't mess up mirc.
Also :
Nvidia drivers and Nvidia Physx v8
MSXML 4.0 SP2 parser and SDK
Microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributable

Thats it.

I founf something out:

I have Vista
Multiple user accounts
My wife uses Incredimail
When i close incredimail the Invalid argument error is gone and i can connect normaly.

Any ideas on what may cause that?
My wife used Incredimail on my old computer as well and on this machine all worked great untill now.
Hope this info add is usefull.

Greetings
It's possible...

does the problem start when you *open* incredimail again? Does closing it fix the problem *every time*? It's possible the program is not compatible with Vista in some way.
