hi all
i got more than 1 script running on my pc ,
every script has his own directory and settings.
how ever , since i upgraded to 6.33 they all want to use the roaming directory for their mirc settings ,
this wasnt with 6.32.
how do i change it bck so that 6.33 uses the mirc.ini in its own file and not the one from the roaming directory?

put your mirc.ini in the folder where you plan to install 6.33, and it will use that folder instead of roaming.

i tried that , doesn't work.
it worked on version 6.32 tho but not on 6.33

I have exactly the same problem, it's really annoying. Any ideas?

OK. I just copied EVERYTHING of the Roaming folder into my mIRC-backup directory and it's working now. Good luck

i tried all of that and every time i do a test

//echo -a test: $mircdir
i get the mirc file in roaming as the directory

just did a test:
copied the scriptfile to my documents and started the script from there and that worksbut that is not the way it should be.
mirc is a program therefor i want it in c : programfiles

then go complain to microsoft for changing how their OS works.

it's not the choice of mIRC but something microsoft has forced unto developers.

the thing is that 'normal users' do not have permissions in Program Files anymore (since vista). that's why the info is stored in the roaming profile.

if you want to use it the old way just put the mirc.ini file together with the exe file in a folder which is NOT in Program Files

or collect a few billion signatures to force microsoft to change their next OS :-P
