This chat channel has auto-op, so depending on rank a person gets @ or % in front of their name but when someone is off for over a month they lose this ranking. How can they regain the @ or %? They have tried reregistering but to no avail, it appears they are unable to register their nicks, your input is welcomed. Thanks

This is either a channel or network issue, and has nothing to do with mIRC. Only those that run the channel (if it's a channel issue) can decide who does and who doesn't get opped. Since they have to have a registered nick, it may also be a network issue, so the place to ask about that is in the network help channel, usually something like #help.
