How do i turn off the red line? - mIRC Discussion Forums

The defualt settings for my MIRCc appears to cause a red line to appear randomly in my channel window. How do i turn it off?

Ctrl + L

In addition to Ctrl-L, the actual setting is in: Alt-O > Display > Options > Line Marker.

I've been wondering myself, what is the purpose of this?

From the help file:

"Whenever you close or minimize a window, the line marker marks the spot where new messages come in to a channel or query window. This allows you to scroll back and easily see which messages you've missed."
