i had a question about downloading files. i tried to download a file with a filename that was in another language. the file name was like shapes and symbols but with .mp3 extension. I tried several times but the transfer would fail right when it started. is there a way to translate foreign text or is there a way to download files with shapes symbols,etc. thanks a lot

I would be more than a bit hesitant about downloading a filename consisting of "shapes and symbols". Try a different font (in mIRC type /font) and see if the name changes to something you can read. Perhaps it stops because its a corrupted file or windows doesnt have any clue what to call it either.
