I'm sure this issue can be found somewhere on the message board, however, I have no idea what to search for.

Problem:
Whenever I open a query with a user by DOUBLE CLICKING THE NAME, mIRC automatically does /msg $nick $nick for some reason. I have checked all of my mIRC scripts, and they're all fine it seems. Note that the problem only seems to occur when I double click a nickname and never when I do /query <nick>.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Check Alt-O > Mouse. Look at the box for double clicking and opening a query and see what it shows.
