I've been using Mirc happily and problem-free for any number of years, now all of a sudden I'm having massive connectivity issues.

The problems started when I intsalled Autoget, which I know we don't deal with here - but with or without it, Mirc 6.17 and 6.2 both continually need to close or wont load all the way (not responding). I have no idea what the problem is - I've disabled my symantec during the installation, moved the installation from program files to the main C directory - nothing seems to be helping.

This is making me insane.

I'm not sure what AutoGet does (Is it an XDCC downloading software ??), but maybe it have put spywares adwares or bad mIRC scripts in your computer...

Try Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs - remove mIRC there. Reboot. Run a good virus program and a good spy program (the two are different. I suggest Spybot Search and Destroy and AntiVir - both free - if you don't have ohers). Reboot again. Download a fresh copy of mIRC. Install it with nothing added. See if that helps.
