ok i go to register for mirc, i pay and all that balogna, then when i wanna go to get a scrim i cant get into the channel because it says i have not registered. is there another step i need to take?...help me out please.

A channel registration is something else then a registration for the mIRC program.

The channel registration basicly means you have to register a nick with the channel services that is used on that network. Like ChanServ, NickServ, stuff like that.

Check the help pages of the website belonging to the network.
In any case, it has nothing to do with your registration of the mIRC program.

If you're using the QuakeNet network, you need to have
registered an account with Q, "/msg Q hello" then auth
each time you connect.

That should allow you to join +R (authed users only) channels.
