I've tried for days now to set up smotd on my server, but whatever I do it all show up when connecting. I use UnrealIRCd 3.2.4 and wonder if it is possible or just use of motd?

As far as I know, smotd isn't a mIRC command. If you are looking for help on UnrealIRCd, you should visit their forums.
