Ok well im not new to IRC but im new to running a channel and I was wondering how do you get a channel bot in your channel and how do you get it so once someone joins your IRC channel it automatically says something like this is such and such clan or something you want them to know once they join and also how do you get it in color pleae help me!

If you're wanting a service bot in your channel, and you want the service bot to message the user(s) on join, you should refer to your network's help channel. just do a /list *help* and ask in the Network Help Channel. If you're refering to an entertainment/channel protection bot, coded in mIRC, you could look for one that fits your needs on mircscripts.org, mirc.net or any other mIRC website.

I would want a protection bot like say I went to one of those sites where would I look to download one

That site you sent me whre would I go on it to find a channel bot? And once I download a script for one how would I put it on IRC?

just go to full scripts
and search for one you want
and just d/l and install it and play with it.

Thanks for your caution - However, it isn't necessary to PM websites, other people can then benefit from this thread should they be searching in the future. Unless of course the website is... unscrupulous.
