hi all, i am having problems with constant disconnecting and reconnecting when in a channel. it is not a 10053 software prob,but just keeps changing me from one criten server to another.can anyone assist please?thanks
Are you using any scripts? Also, it would be good if you ask someone in the channel to paste your quit message to you so you can paste it here... is it "connection reset by peer" or the ping timeout one or something else?

Not you. Them. You'll never see your own quit message. And, as I asked, are you using any scripts?
sorry,just looked back thru my criten window and there was a message 10053, for one disconnection but all the others were given no reason
i am connecting to criten via port 6667.i read in a post somewhere here that port 6667 should not be used. would that be giving me the problem?
Try using 6668 and find out. You still didn't post what others see when you disconnect.
