I'am a Newbie.

I have mirc 6.16 running on windows 98 SE.

Something strange is happening. I had requested a pack from an xdcc bot and without removing myself from the queue, i had disconnected from that server and had connected to another server, after sometime, when i was about to leave, i disconnected from all the servers and suddenly the file i had requested some time back started downloading can someone explain this.

nope. Xdcc bots are nothing to do with mirc. Some may be written in mirc script but they are not supported and we will NOT help with regard to them because the majority of them serve illegal files.

XDCC bots hold your place in que whether you stay on
the channel or not .. when you're up in the que it just sends
the file to the nick in que, if it's not accepted then it just times
out.

-edit-

One of those should work .. some use msg commands and some use ctcp commands.
I hope this information helps you smile

I don't know what you don't understand about the thread Danthemandoo linked to, but please re-read it, and follow our (simple/few) forum guidelines.

You have been told about this before, whatever your views on the topic, please don't cause trouble smile

(P.S. I would have sent a PM, but you're not accepting them)

Regards,

You could have removed the reference to the commands too.

Edit: I showed how to not download from a XDCC
bot .. so I stopped him from downloading and you removed
it .. would you people make up your minds already?
grin
