Hi, i'm looking for a website or tutorial with information on how to make an Xdcc bot, if anyone knows any sites that will help me i'd appreciate it.
anyone? please..
i've looked everywhere for a tutorial or even a little bit of information on how to start off making an xdcc bot, but i've had no luck. can someone help me out please?
Please do not keep posting in your thread to attract attention, people will answer you if they know the answer and if they see your post. This forum is not real time, you may have to wait more than 20 minutes for an answer.
What are your intentions with the XDCC bot? (i.e. what do you want to do with it, what files do you want to serve).
Regards,
I just want to share mp3's on my server..
We do not help with illegal file trading, mIRC is meant to be a chat program. IRC means Internet Relay
Chat. Take a look at the sticky threads at the top of each forum before posting, they contain useful information. See
this one.
Regards,
Its not illegal file sharing, its my own audio..
your audio that OTHERS will download it for free =)
yeah but i like feedback..
i don't care if people download it for free.
this is not about what you want
itz about how you use mirc (illegal file giving/trading)
and since rules of this forum forbid other people to help in such actions, itz most likely that you wont get answered.
fair enough,
its not really 'illegal file sharing' if its my [censored], but i aint going to argue because you aint gonna post some tutorials for me anyway.
You'd be better off setting up an FTP or HTTP server than scripting some kind of bot over IRC if you just want to transfer your music to people.
its not really 'illegal file sharing' if its my [censored]
look on it like this:
i put my Windows OS for download (free), and my friends can have it (or anyone else), but it is MINE and i PAYED it and they will have it for FREE with MY licence which I payed with MY money
so basicaly they will have it without any original licence which will prove that downloaded Windows OS does not belong to them :P
If you created the music yourself, then there is nothing wrong with sharing it (which is how I interpreted your post when it said 'my audio') - It would be helpful to point this out in the first place, I assume you're aware of the fact XDCC is 99% of the time used for illegal purposes?
Anyway, if you're sharing your own music that you've created, it'd be more appropriate and easier to use the mIRC FServe. See /help /fserve and see how you get on, it explains the feature very well. If you have issues, feel free to reply. There are also scripts out there which will help you share your files, search Google. A lot of scripting websites do not host them because they are too often used for illegal purposes.
I would also suggest Google if you intend to "make" am XDCC bot, I for one have no idea how to make one and due to the average user that comes here asking about XDCC, I don't think that kind of info should be available on the main. I'd also imagine it's one of those things where if you have to ask how to, you probably can't (without a lot of work!)
Hope this gives you some good starting points.
Edit: I didn't look at that from the other perspective/meaning of 'my audio'. If you bought a CD and want to share the songs on it, you have no right to do so and you are advised not to. Either way, you might like to look into starbucks reply.
Regards,
but it is MINE and i PAYED it and they will have it for FREE
dude open up your damn eyes .. he's not saying it's his
because he bought and paid for it .. he's saying it's his
because he's a musician and it's
his music.
Moderator note: Don't flame
It wasn't a flame .. it was a serious question.
As far as I am concerned, a question such as the one edited out of your post is a flame, whether you try and be clever about it or not.
What the person said in their post could have been taken two different ways - the person has bought music and feels they have a right to share it, or they made the music and so they really do have the right to share it. Your perception is not absolute.
Thread locked, the person has been helped with several different answers and paths to follow.
