My friend is on a diferent server and I have no idea how to change my current server. Step by step instructions would be GREATLY appresiated

/server irc.other.server.net

Ask your friend to tell you what server he is on. Suppose he says he is on sumfin.blah.here.net, you would then type in your status window: /server sumfin.blah.here.net (dont forget the / )

go to file/options/connect if shows u all the servers or toye /server Surrey.UK.EU.Undernet.Org that will ocnnect u to undernet what server u tryin to connect to?

Hammer was just giving an example like i did, he just happened to use the word "other". YOu can find a list of othernet servers to use at their website, http://www.othernet.org/

for example, in your status window type:
/server Houston.TX.US.Othernet.org
