I'm not a new user to the mirc program but just got it back on my computer and everytime I paste this:

!^kNoX^ AC DC (Fly On The Wall) 01 Fly On The Wall.MP3

it posts up like this:

-> *^kNoX^* !^kNoX^ AC DC (Fly On The Wall) 01 Fly On The Wall.MP3

and my request gets denied...Am I doing something wrong?

mIRC is not a file trading program, sorry if you've been led to believe this. Downloading mp3s, due to the fact they are copyrighted, is illegal. The same goes for movies, software etc. and because of this, we do not help with downloading illegal files. See this post.

You can however, use mIRC/IRC to chat and make friends and even find the love of your life (It has happened!)

I have a similar problem.
I was trading bootlegs with this guy and he sent me a .tar file which mIRC said it was accepting but a connection was never established and it timed out repeatedly.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?

What are "bootlegs"?
