I logged on to a server and what? NO SOUNDS!!!!!!

I looked in the Mirc/sounds folder and it is empty......

Where can I dl the default sounds for mirc???

mIRC Options (Alt + o) > Sounds
There are no default .wav files or anything
for mIRC .. only default sounds are beep.

I had sounds yesterday.....
now nothing.
I know I wasn't dreaming it.

Well I don't know what happened your sound files ..
I only answered the question you asked above ..
there are no "default sounds for mIRC".

That's what I mean.
Even the beep sound file is gone.
I've installed 6.12 several times and still no beep file.

mIRC Options (Alt + o) > Sounds
Select 'Enable sounds'
In the box 'On event, play sound:' select each event and
click the button that says 'No Sound' .. if it says that, and
then it will say 'Event Beep'.

The mIRC event beep uses the Windows default
beep .. so if you have no sound set for Windows
default beep .. then there will be no default beep
in mIRC either.

Edit: Unless you select 'Use internal beep' in the same section.

I did all that and still no sound. Because the actual .wav
file is missing.

The 'Use internal beep' option does not use a file .. it's internal.
Else you can see if a friend can sent you the .wav files you need.
